The job entailed mechanically preparing 1058 square metres of Power Floated Concrete using the Dust Free Blastracking System. We then carried out localised floor repairs.

450 Sq. Metres were then Squeegee/Roller applied with two applications of Mid-Blue High Build Epoxy Coating. A further 608 Sq. Metres were installed with two coats of Midnight Blue High Build Epoxy Coating having Dried Silica Sand Aggregate Broadcast into a first coat to provide a slip-resistant surface, suitable for Fork Lift Traffic.

Prior to commencement we provided VTL with a detailed Method Statement and Risk Assessment, including COSH details of all products used.

The work was carried out to the very exacting standards demanded by the Automotive Industry who are regularly assessed themselves by the major motor car Manufacturers.

Ultrasyntec Ltd., have recently completed a 4,000 Sq. Metre Epoxy Flooring Contract at the RAF Base at Menwith Hill in Harrogate, through Balfour Beatty Construction.

This was part of the refurbishment programme for the American Air Force and was carried out under an extremely High Security regime, with all operatives vetted prior to being allowed on site.

The work itself was to a very high standard, involving mechanical preparation, two coats of Damproof Membrane Epoxy Primer and two final coats of High Build Epoxy Coating with quality control checks at every stage of the work.

Detailed Method Statements, Risk Assessments and all COSH details were supplied by Ultrasyntec Ltd., with Health & Safety being very carefully monitored for the duration of the contract.

UltraSyntec Ltd won a special Highly Commended accolade in the Training category, because of the strength of its application and the measures the company was investing in to ensure that training underpins the entire company ethos. Ultra Static
